D\u2019acord amb els seus Estatuts, CATESCO treballa \u201cper\u00a0<strong>promoure a la societat catalana els principis i valors de la UNESCO en els \u00e0mbits que li s\u00f3n propis com l\u2019educaci\u00f3, la ci\u00e8ncia, la cultura, el desenvolupament sostenible, la democr\u00e0cia, els drets humans, la llibertat d\u2019expressi\u00f3 i comunicaci\u00f3, la ciutadania global, el di\u00e0leg i la pau<\/strong>\u201d. En aquest sentit, ha impulsat iniciatives importants sobre interculturalitat, di\u00e0leg intercultural i interreligi\u00f3s, diversitat ling\u00fc\u00edstica, patrimoni cultural material i immaterial, sostenibilitat, i educaci\u00f3 transformadora compromesa amb el desenvolupament sostenible i la ciutadania global.<\/p>\n<p>Des de l\u2019adopci\u00f3 de l\u2019Agenda 2030 per part de Nacions Unides, CATESCO ha fet una incid\u00e8ncia especial en la <strong>transformaci\u00f3 educativa com a via per assolir els Objectius de Desenvolupament Sostenible (ODS)<\/strong>.
