EduRegio project

EDURegio Erasmus+ project is the follow-up project of Future Classroom Lab Regio, a strategic association among regional educational policy-makers and European Schoolnet.

The network stems from the need to foster digital competences and digital citizenship at the regional level to share good practice among regional policy-makers. EDURegio implements and develops Digital Education Action Plan (DEAP) actions at regional level to face common challenges and assist in establishing a solid European education policy.

Our focus is to empower schools, students and teachers in using digital technologies, encouraging them to be proactive and innovative, and to implement the development of main EU Commission priorities related to digital citizenship and skills building, as well as its deployment on actions addressed to K-12 school education from bottom-up approaches.

The EDU Regio project is coordinated by the Generalitat de Catalunya (Spain), together with European Schoolnet (Belgium). The project also involves four partners from four European regions: Junta Castilla y León (Spain), Provincia Autonoma di Trento (Italy), Göteborgsregionens kommunalförbund (Sweden), and the Comunidade Intermunicipal da Região de Coimbra (CIMRC) (Portugal).

Project goals

  • Mutual exchanges and knowledge transfer coming from the educational resources generated in a joint EduHackathon (sprint-like events to co-create innovative, concrete solutions on education) to the wide educational community and advisory staff.
  • Transfer of knowledge directly from participant teachers and advisors to schools to improve the use of ICT in classrooms and teacher training systems.
